Plus an anonymous tip and Royal Analysis is featured in UK newspaper The Sun
Hi and thanks for stopping in for some more royal gossip! I’m so glad that you’re reading, and I really appreciate the support. There are a couple of updates on Meghan’s possible (probable? irrefutable?) cooperation with Republican strategy group The Lincoln Project on its campaign to have Donald Trump lose his reelection bid.
A quick recap: Republican lobbyists and political advisors who think that Donald Trump and his presidency were ruining America teamed up to create The Lincoln Project. The purpose of The Lincoln Project was to ensure that Joe Biden was elected President of the United States in the 2020 US general election. Who knows how many votes The Lincoln Project took away from Trump/gave to Biden, but Biden was, in fact, elected President of the United States. Donald Trump’s reign ends on January 20, 2021, when Joe Biden will be inaugurated as 46th President of the United States of America.
Here’s where the royal aspect comes in. An ad created and posted by The Lincoln Project before the election seems to be voiced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Again, you can watch the ad and listen to the voiceover artist to judge for yourself:
For reference, here is Meghan doing the voiceover for the Disney Nature documentary Elephant:
Anywho! There are two big updates to this story. The first is that The Lincoln Project released a statement about the identity of the Girl in the Mirror voiceover artist. When asked if Meghan Markle had, indeed, done the voiceover for the Girl in the Mirror ad, a spokesperson for The Lincoln Project stated: “The voice over actress in question wishes to remain anonymous.”
In my mind, this 100% confirms that it’s Meghan Markle’s voiceover in that commercial. Think about it. Why would a voiceover actress want to hide a huge credit? If you’re an actress looking for work, even voiceover work, a job narrating a commercial that played on national television and has almost one million hits on Youtube alone, wouldn’t you want to publicly say, “Hey, that was me, I’m very talented, please give me jobs in the future”? Yes, you would. I would. It just makes sense.
So if the person who did the narration does not want their name to be out there, it must be for a reason. Maybe because the person who did the narration signed an agreement with Buckingham Palace in January to refrain from any political activism? Or else their royal title and style might be removed at the end of a one-year probation period? Just a thought.
The second update to this story is that I received my first anonymous tip from my comment box on the blog! I was VERY excited to get it. Thank you to the person who sent it. The message said:
I believe it’s Meghan Markle in the Anti-Trump commercials. Here are more. I found FOUR!
Listen VOLUME UP. Agree?
Trump about Meghan or Meghan about Donald Trump in recent times. So, of course we see it is thrown in and Meghan drops word in one of these ads. A dig!
I looked up Lincoln Project ads. HEAR Meghan’s voice (?) in so many of ads/videos … here’s a few more.
(Royal Analysis writing here. Fun fact: the tipster put in the link for the Memories Lincoln Project video and it has already been removed from Youtube. Wonder why?)
and 4)Girl in the Mirror.
Spread the word. Meghan has ‘cooked her goose’ if she’s getting paid $$ and making Anti-Trump Ads.
Interesting! Let me know what you think, and if you have any tips for me please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me here: royalanalysis.com/contact/
Royal Analysis was mentioned in The Sun!
This was very exciting and I had no idea about it until I saw a spike in my blog traffic yesterday and started looking into why. Royal Analysis was sourced in The Sun‘s article about Meghan probably doing voiceover work for The Lincoln Project. Thank you to The Sun for the shout out and for crediting my work. Also, you’d like a biweekly blogger, I have a very reasonable fee, wink nudge.
I also have to thank all of the people who followed Royal Analysis on Twitter and Instagram after the article was posted online, as well as the people who reached out to congratulate. I know it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it made me feel very excited and proud. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
